Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy for Nummern
Nummern is a document-based macOS app currently in development. This policy is based on the current product specification and may change as implementation evolves.
1. Data you create in the app
- Spreadsheet content such as table cells, labels, formulas, and sheet layouts.
- Document metadata and object geometry used to reconstruct the canvas.
- Generated and user-edited Python script content for document rebuild workflows.
2. Where data is stored
- Data is stored in document files on your Mac (for example package-style project files).
-
The current spec defines project assets such as
project.jsonandscript.pyas part of the document structure.
3. Python execution and privacy implications
- Nummern can execute Python code as part of formula and script workflows.
- The current spec states users may run arbitrary Python with explicit consent per document in unrestricted mode.
- Because Python code is user-editable, script behavior may include file or network access depending on the code that is run and the selected runtime mode.
- A safer/restricted mode is specified for development, with reduced capabilities (for example limiting filesystem or network access).
4. Analytics and advertising
- No advertising SDKs are specified in the current product spec.
- No third-party tracking pipeline is specified in the current product spec.
5. Data sharing
The app is designed for local document workflows. Data sharing depends on how you store, sync, or export your own files.
6. Support communications
If you contact support by email, we receive the information in your message so we can respond.

8. Changes
